Concacaf A Licence Upgrade

The Concacaf A Licence Upgrade course will enable the coach to understand the expected standards of the Concacaf Coaching Convention and its’ impact on the Concacaf A Diploma. Modelled after the UEFA Coaching Convention, the Concacaf Coaching Convention (CCC) enables us to set and ensure consistent standards as it relates to course delivery across all of Concacaf.

Following the introductory modules, the upgrade course will be organised into the four pillars you will see in the CCC; (1) The Coach, (2) The Players and Team, (3) The Training Environment, and (4) The Match Performance. Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to review materials, complete checks for understanding and reflect on the messages being delivered within the course. Moreover, you will be partnered with a Mentor to support your ongoing course progress throughout the course. 

PLEASE NOTE: The upgrade course IS NOT an assessment of your competency; that was done when you initially completed the A Licence. Rather, it is an opportunity to share with you what is now being expected of coaches completing the Concacaf A Diploma course and to consider a few key items based on your coaching practice today. Additionally, in some instances, you will get an opportunity to complete some of the tasks that the student coaches taking the Concacaf A Diploma are asked to complete. Lastly, the completion of the upgrade will enable you to take advantage of the benefits that come from having the Concacaf A Licence.
